Youth Workers could use citizenship education to foster democracy

This month, schools will be embarking upon the new compulsory 'citizenship education'.  This bold government initiative aims to foster a renewed community spirit and political involvement amongst young people.
The standards which this citizenship education aspires to are not new to youth and community workers. We have claimed the ground on fostering participation and increasing democratic involvement since the most earliest of our statements.
