Visit our library of essays and contribute your own

Welcome to Student Youth Work Online April. This online community has been set up for student youth and community workers the world over to share their take on the theory and practice of youth work. We make available essays, articles and reports relating to ycd work in order to support students in their full time training. We also like to report on projects and ideas that ycd workers are involved in.

Help with studies: Go to the Theory section of the site where we have a library of essays and articles covering everything from informal education to ethics in research. You'll also find other useful stuff there, including suggested reading and some online learning materials.

Read Practice Magazine: Practice features case studies, investigations and our regular 'profiles' interviews with various people in the business of youth and community work.

Get talking! We've got a nice little community message board that allows you to leave messages, and organise a time when you want to chat. So go to them, now...

Still not sure where to go? Either visit the contents page, or get in touch with us.

Our profiles series continues featuring interviews with all those involved in youth work. This month: Tom Wylie, of the NYA

Student Youth Work Online is a voluntary initiative aiming to provide a resource for students to develop and share their skills, knowledge and experience of the theory and practice of youth work.
